Synesthesia… What is it?
For some musicians, there is a certain strange but cool phenomenon called synesthesia that occurs when we can see certain notes or keys as colours (for instance, C major is white and G is pink)
I was just listening to Dave Brubeck’s “Take Five” it always sounds orange to me….
What songs/keys/notes do you see as colours?
Today’s bad musical joke (don’t worry it won’t be too “flat”!)
A C, and Eflat and a G walk into a bar. The bartender says “Sorry, but we don’t allow minors in here!”

Did you miss me?
So…. it’s a dark and dreary Thursday here in Wild Wild Western Canada, and when this happens, I try to find some joy in whatever I do. I wanted to share a though with you if you ever feel that nothing is turning out the way you’ve planned… there is a quote by Blues Traveler frontman John Popper that says “There’s no such thing as a failure who keeps trying.”
I hope that you carry that message with you everyday and remember to never give up on your dreams, musical or otherwise!
